Teen Patti Overview - Limits
Fixed limit, spread limit, pot limit, and no limit are the four most frequent types of betting limitations that apply to the amount a player may wager or raise.
The rise or the bet may both be subject to the restrictions.
All of these games include a minimum stake as well as the mentioned maximums, and they frequently have a betting unit, which is the smallest wagerable amount.
Fixed
The highest rise amount in a game with a fixed-limit betting structure often equates to the last bet amount (current level of bet). As a result, the maximum raise is the same as the maximum call, and the maximum bet is two times the size of the previous stake.
Spread
A player can raise any amount up to a certain maximum (subject to other betting regulations) in a game with a spread-limit betting structure.
As an illustration, a game with a "$1000 spread-limit" enables every player to call and then raise by a maximum of $1000.
A more straightforward strategy is to wager up to the spread-limit's maximum amount. The maximum wager (call plus raise) in the aforementioned case is therefore set at $1,000
Pot
Any player may raise up to the size of the whole pot before the raise in a game with a pot-limit betting structure.
Assume, for illustration, that at the start of the normal betting round there is an ante of $50 and a single forced blind bet of $10 in the pot, and that all players after that have seen/have seen their cards. The minimum wager for the following player is $20, which is double the prior blind wager of $10. As there is now $50 + $10 + $20 = $80 in the pot, this player may also raise by up to $80, bringing his total wager (and the new current amount of bet) to $20 + $80 = $100. The next player may call (make the minimum bet of) $100 and raise up to $260 for a total stake of $360 if he really wagers $100. After calling the $100 bet, the total amount of the pot is $260, thus he may raise up to $260. Following that, the next player would be able to call at $360 and make a raise of up to $880 (after calling $360, the pot would have $880 in it, allowing him to make a raise of $880).
The pot can bet up to a certain amount is a simpler strategy. Therefore, in the aforementioned scenario, the first player visible may wager as little as $20 or as much as $60. If he does wager the maximum, the following player may wager somewhere between $60 and $120. The following player would be able to wager a minimum of $120 and a maximum of $240 if he places the highest stake. Due to the set ante and forced blind bet amounts in this example, the maximum bet is twice as much as the minimum bet for the following bets. This connection might not apply to other pairings.
